The Nigeria Police Force on Thursday night, September 21, 2023, has announced that the autopsy procedure of late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, has been successfully completed.

Recall that Afribeats earlier reported that the body of the singer was exhumed on Thursday, September 21, 2023, for an autopsy.

The Nigeria Police Force, in an update shared via their verified X handle, said the process was now complete.

The force further promised to provide the autopsy result as soon as it was ready.

“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to inform the public that the autopsy procedure for Mr. Mohbad has been successfully completed. Further information will be provided as soon as the results are available,” the tweet read.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation of the death of Mohbad.

The Police special investigative team, that has been saddled with the responsibility of unravelling the death of Mohbad, has been tasked with issuing an interim report within two weeks, starting from Monday, September 18, 2023, when it was inaugurated.
